Who are the courses suitable for?
The courses are aimed at students studying their first or second year of GCSE, IGCSE, A Level. We welcome students of all abilities and from all parts of the world. Though the courses do enable students to highlight and improve their weaknesses, they are not only suited to students that are struggling. Students that are aiming high (A to A*) will also benefit from the opportunity to consolidate knowledge and optimise revision time.
Is this course just available to girls?
Though Adcote school is a single sex school, the Easter Revision Courses are available to everyone, regardless of gender. Classes will be mixed and taught by teachers who have experience teaching in this environment.
Will you cater to my exam board?
Yes we will – the classes are focused on individual examination units. Students will only have classes that pertain to their exam board.
Are flights included?
No, prices are excluding flight costs.
Do you offer an airport pick up service?
Yes, at an additional fee, we can pick students up from the airport, provide supervised travel to Adcote and a return service. This service is optional. Students are welcome to make their own way to the school from the airport but do so at their own risk. Preferences can be made clear through the booking form.
Is there homework?
Our courses are intensive and we provide a high volume of tuition, so we do not feel that it is appropriate to set homework additionally.
What if I miss lessons or I’m late?
Unfortunately, we cannot refund time missed. We highly recommend that students attend all lessons. All cases of lateness are noted and parents informed accordingly. If students are persistently late, they will be excluded from the course as they will be disruptive to other student’s learning.
How many students in a class?
The maximum number of students in a class is 8, and the average is 4. Where possible we try to provide tuition tailored to individual examination units, which means in some cases students will receive one-to-one tuition.
What are the course timings?
Students should arrive on the Sunday, checking in is 4pm, before the start of the course. They should report to reception at 8.45am every morning, as lessons will commence at 9am. Lessons finish at 5.30pm every day. Check-out is 11am on the Sunday of departure.
Where is the course held?
Both the accommodation and tuition is delivered at Adcote School For Girls, Little Ness, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY4 2JY.

Is there a curfew?
Yes, all students must be in their rooms by 10pm.
Can students cook their own meals?
No, but all meals are provided by our dedicated catering team. We can cater to all dietary requirements.
How do I pay?
If you would like to make a booking, please first fill out our online booking form with your details and requirements. On receipt of this information, we will send you payment details via email. Payments can be made by bank transfer. If payment is not received within ten days of the booking, the place will be released.
Is there a deadline for booking my place?
Yes, all bookings must be made by March 21st but it is better to make your booking as early as possible to guarantee a place. Places are given out on a first come, first served basis.
