Beyond the classroom
School trips that take the girls beyond the beautiful grounds of Adcote are an integral part of both the academic curriculum and the cultural life of boarders and day girls alike.
Juniors and Seniors both enjoy regular theatre trips, often with follow up drama workshops - recently they have enjoyed 'Danny Champion of the World' and 'An Inspector Calls'.
Trips organised by academic departments range from galleries such as the Liverpool Tate, Walsall Art Gallery and the Pit Rivers Museum in Oxford for art and textiles, to a local farm for geography and historic Ludlow.
Every year there is an activities week which allows the girls a week off timetable to experience those mind expanding and character building moments that don't fit into regular lessons. To see a gallery of some of this year's pictures. Most years there is also the opportunity for the girls to experience an overseas visit, for example to Ypres to experience first hand the wartime trenches of Flanders, or to France to practise their French.
