Adcote School for Girls is pleased to welcome Mr Gary Wright as its new Headmaster. He will take up his post from September 2009.

Mr. Wright is currently the Deputy Headmaster and Director of Studies at St. Piran's School in Maidenhead, Berkshire , where he has been for the past five years. St. Piran's is an I.A.P.S. Excited about the forthcoming move he says, “I am truly delighted and feel very privileged to have been appointed the next Headmaster of Adcote School for Girls.”

Mr Wright took the opportunity to thank Ryan Jervis for the wonderful job he has done in moving Adcote School forward in the last two years and for the many years of valuable service he has given to the teaching profession. He also thanked the Governors for giving him this opportunity to lead the school.

Mr Wright added, “From my first visit to Adcote, I felt that the school was a very special place. Adcote school has a strong family atmosphere and is very much part of the local community. I am very much looking forward to leading the school into a very exciting and successful future.”

Chairman of Governors Tim Morris said, “Following a fairly long and thorough search for the best candidate, we are delighted to have been able to appoint Gary Wright to the position of head teacher. Mr Wright's background and qualifications match perfectly with the criteria we agreed among ourselves when we set out to find our new head teacher some weeks ago. We have made an excellent appointment."
