MUSICAL TRIBUTE TO PAST HEADMISTRESS

A memorial concert held in the magnificent setting of Adcote's Great Hall paid tribute to the late Sue Auster (Cecchet) who was the school's headmistress until her retirement in1998.

A year after her tragic death pupils past and present were joined by invited soloists in a programme of Miss Auster's favourite music including a new arrangement of the school's hymn by John Bowen.

After leaving Adcote Miss Auster was the first woman to be made a Master Draper and a large number of members were there to represent her association with the Guild.

The money raised is being added to Miss Auster's memorial fund.
