• We now have some new bright green paper recycling boxes for each room in school – this should make it easier for the girls to remember to reuse and recycle paper.
• The last collection of clothes for Bag2School raised over £100 so a huge thanks to those who sent old clothes in – we shall be having another collection after half term.
• The school is also collecting used printer cartridges for recycling - we get paid a minimum of 50p per cartridge – and for some a lot more. Please bring them in!
• After half term we shall be starting to collect batteries to recycle. Although we don't get paid for these it is a good thing to do – batteries are very toxic and need to be disposed of and recycled carefully!
• Hopefully the boarders will soon see a new notice on their doors encouraging them to switch off all electrical appliances before they leave the room. This could save a lot of energy and CO2.
