On Friday 25th June, six girls from Yr 9 took part in the competitive North Shropshire Athletics, in Queensway Stadium, Wrexham.
The team comprised of:
Aisha Brown – Triple jump, long jump, relay
Clemmie Moody – 200m, relay
Evie Ford – Shot, discus
Charly Hickman – Triple jump, 75m hurdles, relay
Georgie Welsh – 100m, relay
Megan Cranage – 800m
The small team performed very well, with a number of outstanding individual performances and with our relay team getting a place into the finals.
Georgie Welsh competed in the 100m finals, Charly Hickman competed in the 75m hurdles finals, and Clemmie Moody made it to the 200m finals, Evie Ford came 5th out of 20 in shot, and Aisha Brown jumped 8.82m in the triple jump.
