Adcote Polish Scholars met by the British Ambassador
Tuesday, 29 June 2010 06:37

On 22nd June, the British Ambassador in Poland hosted an afternoon tea for winners of British Alumni Society scholarships to Adcote School. On Tuesday 22nd June, the British Ambassador Ric Todd hosted an afternoon tea for Klaudia Rzeczkowska and Katarzyna Zielinska, winners of British Alumni Society scholarships to the UK.

The scholarship programme has been launched by the British Alumni Society this year in co-operation with Adcote School. From September 2010, Klaudia and Kasia will enjoy the unique experience of spending two years studying at a British boarding school. They both declared that they intended to continue their education in the UK and hoped to study psychology and linguistics at Cambridge University.

The Ambassador wished both scholars the best of luck and congratulated the British Alumni Society on the successful launch of its scholarship programme. He hoped that the programme would be continued and expanded in future years and joked that prospective scholars should opt for Oxford University (his own alma mater).
