Road Safety Event
Saturday, 06 February 2010 08:03

As part of their PSHE programme, students in Years 11 and the Sixth Form were recently given a very effective presentation by Shropshire’s Road Safety Officer, Malcolm Farrar. The students were given general advice on how to drive defensively and safely. The presentation also covered areas such as observation, the adverse effects of alcohol on judgement and potential distractions while driving. As part of the ‘Speak up to Slow Down Campaign,’ they were also shown how to be assertive in situations where, as passengers, they felt the person driving was being reckless.
