Adcote Junior School children have collected 25 boxes for this charity, which helps children in many other countries. Thanks to these boxes, many children will now receive a Christmas present this year.
The Headmaster Mr Gary Wright commented, “Filling a shoe-box for the Operation Christmas Child Boxes is a fun, rewarding activity. It has allowed us to reflect on how lucky we are and all to do something tangible and worthwhile to help others.
A spokesperson for Operation Christmas Child said, “The Operation is the world's largest children's Christmas project. Since 1990, the project has brought the joy of Christmas to more than 60 million boys and girls throughout the world; in hospitals, orphanages and war-torn or impoverished neighbourhoods.“
