Over the last few weeks, there has been a typically busy mix of academic, cultural and sporting activities taking place. What is noticeable is the amount of charitable work that our pupils undertake. Helping others less fortunate than ourselves is an important part of the Christian ethos of the school.
We now enter a headlong rush for the end of term and all the festivities taking place in the last week. I always enjoy the run-up to the Christmas break itself. There is a very warm atmosphere about Adcote School life at this time of year, particularly when you listen to our talented Juniors or Choir rehearsing in the Great Hall or the nursery children preparing for their Nativity play.
This is a very important time of the year for our Upper Sixth Form, as they complete their UCAS applications for University and ensure that their personal statements are well-written. Thank you to Mr Squire, the Head of the Sixth Form for his sterling work in this area. Thank you also to those parents who volunteered to assist the Sixth Form by conducting mock interviews. Best wishes to our Oxbridge candidates, as they have now received word of their interviews.
I hope you will be able to support the 'Friends of Adcote' by purchasing the Adcote Christmas Cards for sale from the school office. If you are looking for stocking-fillers, we also have 'Adcote Sheep' on sale at £7.99 and the 'Sheep Back Pack' at £14.99!
