This year sees the establishment of Adcote's Combined Cadet Force (CCF) in conjunction with Shrewsbury School.
The CCF is a tri-Service military cadet organisation based in schools throughout the UK. The role of the CCF is to help pupils to develop powers of leadership through training, which promotes qualities of responsibility, self-reliance, resourcefulness, endurance, perseverance and a sense of service to the community.
This year, twelve girls from Year 10 have joined the CCF. The cadets have the opportunity to gain an insight into what the CCF has to offer, both with respect to new friendships but also in challenging and enjoyable training opportunities.
The CCF contributes yet another aspect to what is already a very broad educational experience at Adcote School. Training for the CCF takes place on a Thursday afternoons.
