This year has been another outstanding one for the school in terms of public examination results.
Headmaster Gary Wright commented that "Although exam results are by no means our only measure of success, academic performance is nevertheless crucial in helping our students achieve their aspirations. I congratulate all of the girls for their hard work and commitment to their studies, which is demonstrated by these excellent results. I am confident that the skills and independence which Adcote develops will ensure that our girls go on to secure success at university and beyond."
At A Level, with very few exceptions all of the girls achieved their targets and in one or two cases candidates achieved significantly better than they expected. Forty seven per cent of all grades at A2 were grades A and B. Only one candidate failed to achieve a pass in just one subject.
Our Lower Sixth form students did similarly well in their ASs, with a ninety three percent pass rate. Forty four percent of all AS grades were A or B. They will now go on next year and convert their ASs into A2s.
At Adcote we also offer the BTEC qualification, with almost all of our students gaining a distinction.
